Acne

Acne is a disease affecting the hair root or hair. Glands, at the root of the hair, produce sebum. The role of sebum is to prevent the drying of the skin. Acne triggers an excessive secretion of sebum.

Excess sebum is due to the production of sex hormones at puberty. Too much sebum makes the skin more oily and ends up cluttering and blocking the follicle. Bacterias multiply. It happens a comedo (blackhead), which evolves into a pimple or a cyst. The cyst is caused by infection with a more extensive and forms a hard lump and swollen. The comedo may also be in the form of a small white dot will disappear spontaneously.

A cold and dry climate opens the pores of the skin while a hot, humid blocks the pores and promotes the production of comedones.

People prone to acne should avoid products (cream or oil) that block the pores of the skin. They should also avoid stressful situations, rest properly and adopt a healthy diet. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. These precautions do not necessarily prevent the appearance of acne but can lessen the severity.

Pinch or pop a button may leave a scar. Wash your face with unscented soap twice a day and the hair twice a week.
