Appendix, appendicitis, peritonitis



The Appendix is a protrusion located between the small intestine and right colon. The size of the appendix is 6 to 12 cm and has no utility. Its removal does not affect health. Appendicitis is an acute inflammation of the appendix.

If left untreated, appendicitis can be fatal due to peritonitis.

Appendicitis is a very painful infection. The pain may be accompanied by vomiting, nausea, constipation. The person made a slight fever and rapid pulse.
