The burn is damaged tissue caused by heat, chemicals, electricity or others. It assesses the severity of the burn degree.
The
first degree burn is the least serious. It only affects the skin, it becomes red and tender to touch. This burning disappears after a few days.
The
second degree burn affects the skin and slightly the dermis. Blisters (blisters, bubbles) appear about the second day, do not burst the blisters. Taking care to avoid infection with a light dressing, the skin regenerates after a while. A medical consultation is strongly suggested.
The
third degree burn is serious. The dermis and epidermis are destroyed. The skin becomes white or black, the slin is prone to infections. This skin does not regenerate, skin grafting may be necessary depending on the extent of the burn. The medical emergency response is urgent.
The
first action is to water gently (without pressure) the burn with cold tap water to reduce the heat. If the pain is too intense, direct the jet side of the wound and let the water trickle onto the wound. Stop watering once the pain subsided. Resume if pain returns. If the wound is hidden under clothing, it is suggested to spray the wound through the garment and then continue watering, remove the clothing (if it does not stick to the burn). If the garment glue, wait for rescue.
The emergency instructions in case of burns from a chemical are written on the container of the product in question. In general, remove soaked clothing and wash skin, avoiding the chemical from spreading elsewhere in the body. Ask for help (ambulance) and continue to rinse until their arrival.
