The dislocation, also called dislocation is the displacement of a bone in his joint. In a joint, the bones are held together by elastic ligaments. If the ligaments are stretched enough, the bone can be positioned outside of its normal position. In severe cases, there may be ligament rupture.

Treatment involves placing the member in its normal position, usually under anesthesia. To facilitate the healing of ligaments, the limb is immobilized for several days. Only a specialist can replace a dislocation.
