The dwarfism is the status of a person affected by a disorder of growth. It is often hereditary.
Among the major growth defects include small size, less than 20% of the average size. Often the person with a deformity of the thumbs, a protruding abdomen and a deviation of the fingers.
There are many forms of dwarfism. The most common is achondroplasia. It is characterized by a disorder of bone tissue, producing abnormal growth particularly for members.
The dwarfism is called harmonious, when small person has no distortion. The dwarfism is said not harmonious when different parts of the body are not proportional.
