Dyslexia is a learning difficulty reading and writing. Do not confuse this condition with a delay of learning. The delay in learning is usually caused by an irregular education, psychological or neurological disabilities or non-supportive environment. The person with dyslexia has no weaknesses and has a proper education as his brothers and sisters.
Experts do not all agree on the possible causes: family history, physiological disorders, affective disorders, but also overcrowded classrooms ... Dyslexia is often the cause of school failure.
The dyslexic difficulties phonetic. It is easily confused letters similar (m and n, b and d). It reverses ('we' becomes 'No'), add or remove letters ('bar' becomes 'ba'). It takes a short time of reflection to recognize a word and then assimilate the text. It can also feel the difficulty to remember the words of a sentence.
Dyslexia is not found in the Italian language, called transparent language, since words are written as they are pronounced. The written word is immediately recognized phonetically. Esperanto is another example of a transparent language. In languages like French or English, said opaque language, words are not always written as they are pronounced.
Treatment may require a speech psychotherapist.
