Infarction

Infarction, commonly called a heart attack, is a serious heart condition. For lack of oxygen, the heart muscle does not contract more. Early intervention is vital.

When the coronary arteries1 get blocked by a clot, the oxygen carried by the blood goes more to the heart muscle cells, it is a cardiac arrest.

In cases of cardiac arrest, cardiac massage and mouth to mouth are appropriate. Transport to hospital by ambulance is essential.

The main causes of infarction are hypertension, smoking, diabetes, obesity and stress.

Exercise reduces heart rate after exertion. The daily walking, cycling and swimming are appropriate. However, you should avoid physical exertion immediately after a meal, during the period of digestion.

(1) coronary artery or coronary: each of the two arteries that arise from the aorta to the heart muscle and provide the blood needed for its operation.
