Infertility is the inability of the man or woman, to conceive a child. The main causes are the lack or poor sperm quality in men and lack of egg in women.
A sample of sperm under the microscope to determine whether or not man can procreate. An examination will determine the quality, number and motility. A low sperm count or mobility restricted greatly reduces the chances of an encounter with an egg.
The examination of the women can discover if there is an inability to produce an egg (not ovulating). A malfunction of the fallopian tubes or abnormalities of the uterus are potential causes of infertility in women. Infertility may also be due to early menopause.
The quality of sperm or ovulation may be altered as a result of illness or ingestion of toxic chemicals.
Statistics show that among couples unable to have children, 30% of infertility cases are from men, 30% women, 30% of the two and in 10% of cases, there is no a physical problem. In the latter 10%, stress can be a cause and sometimes a pregnancy occurs when not expected.
