Periodontitis



Periodontitis is a bacterial disease affecting the periodontium*. The infection is caused by the accumulation of plaque **, often associated with other factors such as smoking, stress or certain diseases like diabetes.

The patient usually feels no pain. The main symptoms are bleeding gums during brushing and bad breath. The mobility of the teeth is a sign of deterioration of the bone supporting the teeth at this stage, the infection is advanced.
