The prostate is a male body part of the reproductive system. The sperm from the testicles are added to a liquid into the prostate to form semen.


Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in men. The healing of this cancer is detected early when possible.

Early detection of prostate cancer is conducted annually for men over fifty years with a DRE and blood tests. Ultrasound can be used to visualize the prostate. If an abnormality is detected, the presence and extent of cancer are then determined by biopsy.

Prostate cancer grows slowly. It remains to be seen whether the patient's death will be caused by prostate cancer or another cause. It is difficult to assess the aggressiveness of the cancer and the life expectancy of the patient.

If the decision is taken and action that the extent of cancer is about more than prostate, prostatectomy ¹ may be the total solution. Otherwise, radiotherapy ² can be considered. Radiation therapy is a technique requiring a very sophisticated equipment and require high precision. This treatment is painless.

A hormone is made for cancer spread beyond the prostate or when the operation or radiotherapy have failed. The goal of this treatment is to reduce better stop cancer progression temporarily. We will use chemotherapy if the hormone treatment fails.


Prostatitis

Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate. The prostate has become more voluminous by the inflammation may extend to prevent the flow of urine. Prostatitis is treated with antibiotics. Surgery is sometimes necessary.
