Steroids are drugs taken orally or by injection and are prescribed by a doctor. It is illegal to possess without a prescription. Steroids amplify the effects of regular exercise, increasing faster muscle volume and strength. Without knowing the risks, some use it for the sole purpose of obtaining a muscular body and win the admiration of others.
The changes are not automatic, they also depend on the stature and the genetic background of the person. Thus, many steroid users will not see any physical change and there will risk even their lives without knowing it.
The use of steroids has side effects that in some cases do not manifest themselves until later. This can result in headaches, stomach pain, loss of hair, breast development, testicular atrophy, liver damage and kidney, increased blood pressure. Psychologically, it can result in increased aggression, outbursts of anger and paranoia.
Steroids obtained on the black market may be genuine but most are fake and are likely to be impure. The risk is great to destroy your health. Authentic or not, steroids are a danger to all those who consume without being followed by a conscientious doctor.
